Mini 1uppers

Toddler soccer. Born 2022 to 2025.

Every session is designed by current pro Niko Myroniuk. Their first soccer session should be the best 45 minutes of their week, and in the youngest group you're on the field with them.

Two groups, by age in months

Toddlers change fast, so these two groups go by months. Players are never mixed across them.

Mini Beginners

18 to 30 months. You play too.

Their very first taste of the game, with you beside them. Moving with the ball, balance, confidence, all through play. Wear athletic clothes and be ready to join in. Parents tell us it's their favourite 45 minutes of the week too.

Next Level Minis

31 to 48 months. On their own.

Their first organised activity without you on the field. Movement skills and simple soccer ideas through adventure games. You stay at the facility and watch. If your player still wants you out there, that's fine. We follow their lead.

Training menu

Designed by Niko Myroniuk, current pro and 1UP Director of Player Development, with Anthony Garmory, who coached early years soccer in England for over 8 years with players as young as 18 months.

  1. Free play as they arrive: soft balls, cones, hoops and mini goals.
  2. Movement games: bear walks, frog jumps, freeze and go, balance paths.
  3. Ball play: dribbling, stopping, rolling and first kicks.
  4. A game to finish, so they leave wanting more.

Timings follow the kids. If they love an activity, we stay on it.

1UP has trained over 10,000 players in Calgary, including current pros Aribim Pepple, Victor Loturi, Niko Myroniuk and Dani Feria Estrada.

What comes next
